Navratri means nine nights. Each Navratri day has different energy, significance and represents forms of goddess Durga. Navratri is one of the most energetic festivals in India. However, it is been celebrated all over India but Gujrat, West Bengal celebrates Navratri at a huge level. In Gujrat, people play Garba or Dandiya all nine days whereas people in West Bengal celebrate on the name of “Durga Puja.”
Navratri is more than a festival and it has meaningful significance as it represents power, strength, and energy of goddess Durga as a woman. There are several forms of goddess Durga but during Navratri Indian worship for mainly nine forms of her.

NAVRATRI DAY 1: MA SHAILA PUTRI

NAVRATRI DAY 2: MA BRAHMACHARINI

Goddess Brahmcharini worshiped on the second day of Navratri.
NAVRATRI DAY 3: MA CHANDRA GHANTA
Pindaja Pravararudha Chandakopastrakairyuta।
Prasadam Tanute Mahyam Chandraghanteti Vishruta॥
Maa Chandraghanta is worshiped on the third-day & third form of Maa Durga. She is the one who establishes justice. Chandra means ‘Moon’.
NAVRATRI DAY 4: MA KUSHMANDA
Surasampurna Kalasham Rudhiraplutameva Cha।
Dadhana Hastapadmabhyam Kushmanda Shubhadastu Me॥
Goddess Kushmanda represents the fourth day of Navratri. She is as glowy as the sun.
NAVRATRI DAY 5: MA SKANDAMATA
Simhasanagata Nityam Padmanchita Karadvaya।
Shubhadastu Sada Devi Skandamata Yashasvini॥
Skandamata represents and worshiped on the fifth day of Navratri. She is the mother of Kartikeya.
NAVRATRI DAY 6: MA KATYAYANI
Katyayani Shubham Dadyad Devi Danavaghatini॥
Goddess Katyayani represents and worshipped on the 6th day. She was born to sage Katya thus she named on him as Katyayani. She took birth to kill demon Mahisasura and also known as Mahisasurmardani.
NAVRATRI DAY 7: MA KALARATRI
Goddess Kalratri is the most aggressive form of Devi Parvati. She Killed demons Shumbha & Nishumbha.

Goddess Siddhidatri is one of the forms of mother nature, as Hindu believe that she arrived in the form of Siddhidatri. She is worshipped on the 9th day of Navratri.
