“The power of Forgiveness is a shift in perception, which removes a block in humans to their awareness of love’s presence.” That’s powerful it will make you superior to others.
What is that saying to us? –It’s saying that if we are not forgiving, either ourselves or others, we are creating a block that stops us from feeling the love from the Universe and everything and everyone that surrounds us.
Many times we think that by not forgiving we’re somehow punishing the person that did wrong to us; we believe that what they did is just unforgivable. We want to hold onto that resentment, and that is doing nothing to them. They are still going on about their normal lives, being happy or miserable or however, they are, and it’s doing absolutely nothing to them.
Forgiveness is for you. It’s for you to set yourself free. “Forgive, and you shall be forgiven.”
What Happens When You Don’t Forgive?
When you don’t forgive someone, it’s like a drop of poison that you’re expecting them to take, but they’re not. That drop of poison, you are making it yourself. You need to forgive to release that poison that causes disease in your physical body, not just mentally.
Let me tell you that guilt and resentment are the two lowest vibrations of energy. They are like the worst emotions to have, and we all have them from time to time. Every time we feel them, we are putting that poison inside of us, and that poison shows up in the way of disease in your physical body.
Many times when you have any sort of disease in your body, you go to the specialist, the doctor, the practitioner, and they work on your body to heal than physical illness. What happens is that they’re just treating the symptoms. They are not addressing the root cause of that disease because that cause was created mentally, whether you’re aware of it or not. In most cases, you will find out that it comes from the feelings of guilt and resentment.
The Other Side Of Forgiveness
When you don’t forgive, you’re holding onto all that resentment, anger, frustration and that blocks you from receiving any good from the Universe.
There is this test where they took a sample of saliva, blood, and sweat from people feeling resentment, guilt, and anger, and after analyzing all the ingredients, they found out that the substance was poisoning!
Guilt came as a result of this test as being the worst emotion ever, being the lowest vibration of energy. If you’re angry about something that someone did because they hurt you, it’s only in your best interest to look for help, to look for healing solutions, therapy, whatever it might be for you so that you can let it go. You want to release those negative emotions.
You Want To Forgive Them, Not Because Of Them, But Because Of You
Extending forgiveness is more than a Biblical suggestion from the Lord; it is a commandment. Certainly, Jesus understood that the act of forgiveness was as beneficial for the one doing the forgiving as for the one being forgiven. It’s no coincidence these benefits are also strongly supported by medical science, and according to Psychology Today, it is a recommended course of action by many psychologists. The benefits of forgiveness are:
- The ability to let go of anger and bitterness
- Fewer symptoms of depression
- A Reduction in Anxiety and stress
- Lower Blood pressure
- Better health
- Lower risk of alcohol and substance abuse
- Healthier relationships
So, don’t underestimate the power of forgiveness, keep forgiving and keep going.
